A fan of Jack's has passed on....

Malcolm Xerxes, actor, musician, model, and all around gentleman passed away on tuesday.

Here's a message of his to me a few months ago on my telling him of my find of the eagles brood signed for three dollars:

"WILLIAM,

You jammy b*st*rd!
Congratulations!

The SPACEFLOW piece wherein MR. JACK L. WHYTE speaks of the origin of the name "EXCALIBUR" is 1 of the best things I have seen & heard since SPACE came on the air."

He'll be missed.

So if you find yourself near a pub or LCBO tommorow, be sure to hoist a few pints (of Boddingtons) to his memory.

I will.

Hello.

I knew Malcolm Xerxes through a shared affection of the tv series, La Femme Nikita, on which Malcolm played a recurring character -- Owen Tell.

I never had the opportunity to meet him in person; only through a message board such as this one. He was such an eloquent writer, a big thinker, with a big personality. Reading his posts were always so impressive, as he had such a great command of the English language.

At any rate, I was told he loved Jack Whyte's writings, so I wanted to come here and also acknowledge Malcolm's having lived. I'm sorry he is gone now, and hope he is at peace.

Thank you.

Which messagboard Christine?

It's been surprising the people I've come across who knew him from one place or another.

A tragic, horrific end.

It's too bad he never sought some psychological help.

Re:Which messagboard Christine?

Hi, William.

Malcolm actually had his own message board during the La Femme Nikita run. He was always a lot of fun to talk to and interact with.

I'm glad you mentioned him. I think it's a fine thing to acknowledge someone's having lived after they are gone.

So you know him from his official board eh?

His having posted there hours before the incidents that led to his death are what mainly make me think a stressor occured that made him snap and go off.

A good man who, unfortunately, could not dealw ith something that made him go off.

And then judged himself according to his own moral principals.
